Make Up For Dummies: Chapter #1: Foundation!
As I walked in my local Boots today, walking in the make up area I heard two Italian girls asking each other questions about what should they buy.
Ok we all do this with our best friend, but the questions was like :”WHAT IT’S THIS?” “HOW DO I USE IT?” while staring at a box of foundation.
!!SHE NEEDS HELP and every girls with this kind of questions need some serious help!
soo as I walked home (with some new stuff, we’re talking about this later) I thought it might be useful to write some little tips for make up beginners.
Let’s start from your
FACE:
1 – MOISTURIZE IT:
First of all your skin should be well moisturized before starting your new quick beauty routine.
Choose a good moisturizer according to your skin type, use it on clean skin and let it dry before skipping to the next step.
2 – FOUNDATION
For each product you use on your face it’s not much about “WHAT” but it’s way more about “HOW”.
– GO FOR THE RIGHT AND EASIEST TEXTURES
If your skin looks dry choose a liquid or creamy product.
If yours it’s a combination or oily type chose a mineral powder or a light oil free liquid.
2) CHOOSE THE RIGHT COLOR
This it’s the best gift you can do to your face, the shade of your foundation needs to be the same of your skin, you don’t use foundation to give a better color but just to even your skin tone and make it look amazing.
There will be someone who surely gonna help you in any shop, but if there’s not, do it by applying the product on your jawline, if the product seems to disappear after blending it..that is your colour!

3) APPLY IT
Cream and liquid:
Pour a little amount of foundation on the back of your hand and apply it with a sponge or with your hands starting from the centre of your face (there is when your skin needs more coverage) and blend it all over, make sure your skin tone it’s even before going on.
Mineral Powder:
Tap a little amount of powder into the lid, then swirl the brush around to get all the product in the bristles, apply it on your face using a circular motion (always start from the centre) continue until you reach the right coverage.
